Daily Reset

Taking care of yourself daily is important, one of the best things you can do for yourself is a daily reset.  Daily rest is not taking a whole day to reinvent yourself, it is a lot more about working on your mental health and happiness. Every day we should be taking steps (no matter how small) to acknowledge, work, and improve our happiness/mental health.


 Like I said earlier a Daily Rest is not taking time each day to reconfigure your life; personally, that sounds exhausting. Now I know that not everyone calls it a daily reset. But for me, it is taking time each day to reset/refresh your soul and mind. To me, it is more about ensuring you are mentally and emotionally okay. It’s making sure you are adding happiness every day in your life.


What is the point of a Daily Reset? 

  • Rest from daily activities and daily burdens 
  • Bring Gratitude 
  • Promote happiness
  • Encourage Self-love 
  • Encourages self-care 


I am constantly talking about the importance of making sure you are doing something each day that brings you happiness. Happiness comes from more than surprises and how people treat us. I think it comes from finding joy in things we can do every day, all we have to do is look for them. 


What can you do for a Daily Reset? 

  • Take at least a 15-minute walk 
    • Spend that time alone with just you and your thoughts, favorite podcast, or some music. 
  • Get some Vitamin C and fresh air 
    • Spend time enjoying the great outdoors even if it’s just sitting on your balcony or on a bench at your local park. 
  • Self-reflection/ moments of silence 
    • Spend some time with just you and your thoughts, and figure out how you felt or feel about a day or an event. Give yourself time to truly reflect and understand your inner feelings and thoughts. 
  • Take a nap 
    • We all know how amazing and how powerful a nap can be. 

**Do anything that brings you joy/happiness for a minimum of 15 minutes**


Taking time to care for yourself each day is important. Not only does it bring you joy and promote happiness. It also gives you a better perspective into your own mind, thoughts, emotions, and feelings. Each day we all take steps to make sure we are taking care of ourselves. Be it taking vitamins, eating healthy, working out, or even just making sure we get enough sleep each night. This is why we also need to start putting our happiness with the same mindset. 


Why should you?

  • Gives/promotes self-love 
  • Shows that you care about yourself 
  • Promotes and encourages happiness
  • Encourages you to be more authentically you
  • Brings around growth 


Being happy is more than who you surround yourself with and how others’ actions affect you. It has a lot to do with how you treat yourself. Honest question how often do you take 15 minutes to give yourself a daily rest or boost of happiness? Taking just 15 minutes a day to allow ourselves to daily rest our thoughts and mind is nothing. 


I challenge you to put yourself first this week and each day and give yourself time to daily rest. Allow yourself to be alone with yourself and just focus on your happiness. Give yourself time to relax and reset each day. Truly spend time to figure out what makes you happy and make it a part of your daily routine.
